On the morning of March 31, Ma Yanming, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, went to the satellite project team of "Jilin University-1" of the College of Instrumentatione and Electrical Engineering to conduct a special research on the in-depth study of the 20th Party Congress and the spirit of the two sessions of the National People's Congress, the comprehensive implementation of the On the work plan of the Party-wide investigation and research and the 15th Party Congress of the university, to improve the scientific and technological innovation capacity, to build a high-level scientific and technological innovation team for special research.
Ma Yanming inspected the satellite payload development laboratory, visited and condoled with the front-line scientific researchers, communicated with them in depth, understood in detail the progress of the project, technological innovation, team building, and visited the core components of the prototype of "Jida I". He encouraged everyone to aim at the national deep space strategic needs, play a full range of disciplines, with the comprehensive advantages of cross-disciplinary research, and strive to achieve breakthroughs in more key core technologies.
At the symposium, Ma Yanming fully affirmed the achievements made by the "Jilin University-I" satellite project team in recent years in terms of scientific research and transformation of results. He pointed out that through the unremitting efforts of the project team, "Jilin University-1", as the first independently developed remote sensing satellite with optical main payload, the main technology has filled the gaps in China, fully reflecting the comprehensive strength of our university in the research and development of aerospace precision instruments. He hoped that the satellite project team of "Jilin University-1" should focus on the declaration of scientific and technological awards, enhance the ability to condense innovative achievements, demonstrate their innovative advantages, and strive for breakthroughs in national and other major scientific and technological awards. Secondly, we should focus on the development of the college, give full play to the advantages of the project team in scientific research and innovation, take the initiative to integrate into the development of the college, drive the development of traditional advantageous disciplines, and help multi-disciplinary cross-fertilization. Third, we should focus on the transformation of results, aim at the high point of future science and technology and industrial development, integrate advantageous resources, promote the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and make greater contributions to serve regional economic development.
During the investigation and research, the Dean of the School of Instrument Science and Electrical Engineering, JI Yanju, reported the basic situation of the project team of "Jida I", and the project leader, Prof. Zhang Liu, reported the project history, core technology, expected results and other situations. Participants exchanged views on promoting discipline development, declaring science and technology awards, and strengthening team building.
Comrades in charge of various departments of the Research Institute and the backbone members of the "Jilin University-I" project team also participated in the activities.
