Brief Introduction of the Reporter
Xingguo Huang is mainly engaged in research on computational geophysics and acoustics, wave propagation, scattering theory, seismic imaging, full waveform inversion, seismic anisotropy, uncertainty quantification and joint inversion of EM and seismic data. Xingguo Huang received his PhD in Geophysics from University of Bergen, Norway in 2020. He was a visiting PhD student with the University of California at Santa Cruz from July 2018 to January 2019 and from June to August 2019. He was the research fellow with University of Bergen, Norway from May 2020 to September 2020.
In the past five years, he has published more than 30 papers inGeophysical Journal International, Geophysics, IEEE TGRSand other journals, and one of them was published as a highlight article inPhysical Review E, a journal of American Physical Society. He is the Editor-in-Chief ofPure and Applied Geophysics, Solid Earth Science Edition, Associate Editor of Exploration Geophysics, and Associate Editor of Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics. He is the member of "American Geophysical Union AGU - American Society of Exploration Geophysics SEG Cooperation Committee" and the session chair of the 82nd Annual Meeting of European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).He is a reviewer for many international SCI journals such as GJI, Geophysics, IEEE TGRS, Geophysical Prospecting, Journal of Geophysics and Engineering, Journal of Theoretical and Computational Acoustics, IEEE Access, etc.He was awarded the National Scholarship for Outstanding International Students (within 500 students in all disciplines worldwide) and the National Li Siguang Award for Outstanding Master's Students (5 students nationwide). He has received two grants from Statoil ASA and co-hosted a joint project in three Nordic countries. He has been working with ETH Zürich (Switzerland), NORCE Research Center (Norway), University of Eastern Finland (Finland), GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel (Germany), Institute of Geophysics, Geological Survey of Denmark, and other institutions.
