On November 6, 2020, the "2020 charity 100 · gather love cloud" activity of China Poverty Alleviation foundation was officially launched. In order to increase the social influence of voluntary activities and deepen the public's sense of dedication, on November 21, 2020, the College of Instrumentation and electrical engineering of Jilin University and the Volunteer Association organized volunteers to go to RT mart to launch the"Goodwill 100 Activities, Street solicitation".
At 8:00 a.m. on November 21, the volunteers gathered at the north gate of the central campus and then set off for the collection site.The volunteers strictly implemented the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, wore masks throughout the journey, and publicized and advised passersby in places with a lot of people, such as RT-Mart.The volunteers worked in teams of two and scattered to look for passersby to collect donations, so that the warmth could be passed among the loving people from all walks of life.The volunteers told people who passed by the fundraising site about the difficult living conditions of the poor children, attracting the attention of many people, and many enthusiastic citizens were touched and gave generously to the fundraising activity.At 12:00 noon, the fundraising activity ended successfully.All the proceeds from the event will be used for the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation's Love Package Project, which will provide 100 yuan student-type art packages and 200 yuan student-type warm packages to improve the learning conditions of elementary school students in poverty-stricken areas.
In this Goodwill 100 Warmth Campaign, the volunteers were able to pass on their love and deliver love packages to students in poor mountainous areas while also exercising themselves. After the activity, the volunteers said that they had gained a lot from the activity and improved their abilities while contributing to the society, and they looked forward to continuing to contribute in the next Goodwill 100 activity to continue the love and warmth.
