On October 20, 2020, the second general meeting of China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA) was held in Beijing. Zheng Fuzhi, member of the Party Group, vice minister and general school inspector of the Ministry of Education, and Song Jun, member of the Party Group and member of the Secretariat of CEEAA, visited and guided the meeting. Wu Qidi, Chairman of the First Council of the Certification Association and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, Wang Shuguo, Chairman of the First Supervisory Board and President of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Zhang Qin, Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and Fan Wei, Director of the Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education, Vice President of the First Council, attended the meeting. Mr. Wu Yan, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the First Council and Director of the Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education, moderated the conference, and 107 members of the Accreditation Association attended the meeting.
The conference elected 96 members of the second council of the accreditation association, and Lin Jun, academician of College of Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering of Jilin University, was elected as the council member of the association.
China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA) was established in April 2015. It is a national social organization composed of institutions and individuals related to engineering education. It is mainly responsible for the organization and implementation of engineering education accreditation in China. It is a national member of China Association of Science and Technology (CAST).
Through this election, it reverses the situation that Jilin University has been without the council members of China Engineering Education Professional Accreditation Association for many years, which will surely promote our engineering education profession to enter a new stage of development and make a new and greater contribution to the cause of engineering education in China.
