报告人简介:

Dedalo Marchetti, Ph.D. in Physics and with more than five years of experience in geophysics studying the preparation phase of earthquakes by satellite and ground data, is now a Dingxinpostdoctoral fellow at the Jilin University.

报告摘要:The first topic that will be presented is if the anomalies that can be detected in magnetic, electron density satellites measurements, atmospheric data are statistically related or not with the worldwide earthquake. With the support of the Dingxin program, a deeper investigation of the possible influence of some earthquake parameters has been performed, founding a relation in SO2 released before M8+ earthquakes and their seismic acceleration trend. Furthermore, an influence of the focal mechanism on the seismic acceleration trend has been found and possibly related to the gravitational or elastic energy that drives the preparation phase of such earthquakes. A deep investigation of an M7.7 earthquake in Jamaica in 2020 is in progress and preliminary results will be shown underling as considering more earthquake parameters it is possible to understand and constrain better the anomalies possibly related to the seismic event.
